A recent report has once again sparked curiosity by revealing how much top actors charge for event appearances.
Sky-High Appearance Fees for A-List Celebrities
Among all celebrities, Shah Rukh Khan continues to be the most expensive star when it comes to private event appearances. As per the report, he charges an astonishing ₹5–6 crore simply to attend an event, greet guests, and make a short appearance. His presence alone is considered enough to elevate any celebration.
Following closely, Salman Khan is also among the highest paid, reportedly charging ₹3–4 crore per appearance. Ranveer Singh, known for his boundless energy and star appeal, charges around ₹2 crore.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar—one of Bollywood’s most consistent performers—reportedly commands ₹1.25–1.5 crore for attending a private function.
When it comes to female celebrities, stars like Tamannaah Bhatia and Nora Fatehi fall in the same fee bracket as Akshay Kumar, with charges ranging between ₹1.25–1.5 crore. Younger actresses like Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Disha Patani reportedly charge ₹60–70 lakh for short appearances at parties or weddings.
These figures often include a significant entourage accompanying the star. As noted in the report, celebrities usually arrive with their personal stylists, hair and makeup teams, managers, security personnel, and other staff.
Big Bucks for Short Performances
Stage performances come with their own separate fee structure. Actors like Shahid Kapoor and Varun Dhawan reportedly charge between ₹1–2 crore for brief performances that may last only 5–6 minutes. These performances typically involve dance numbers, crowd engagement, and photo opportunities that appeal to the hosts and guests.
Female performers generally do two stage entries lasting 6–7 minutes each, followed by backstage interactions and photographs with close family members.
For hosting duties, television personalities also earn significant fees. Popular host Manish Paul reportedly charges ₹12–15 lakh, while Aparshakti Khurana charges around ₹10 lakh to anchor an event.
